3 weeks in a row back on my workout routine! Feels great!! I was up pretty late last night so it was hard to get up this morning but I didn’t want to break my 3 week stretch. 3 weeks of working out 4 days a week is excellent and I am looking forward to keeping it up! I am sure that I will need to miss a day eventually and I will be sure not to let one day missed snowball into not going at all (as that is sometimes how I am, all or nothing). Tomorrow I plan to get my son out of bed early and out for a walk again, although he will hate me for it in the short-term, in the long-term he will thank me for it.
Day 11! After tomorrow it will be three weeks of consistent workouts, feels great! I wasn’t able to drag myself out of bed early enough to get a really great workout in but I did my elliptical so that is something anyway. I will resolve to get up earlier tomorrow as I enjoyed the rowing machine yesterday and I want to do that again. I did have my breakfast Vega shake which is a great way to start my morning.
Day 10!!! Woo Hoo! I was actually looking forward to my workout today, yesterday on my way home from work I was already thinking about it and really feeling the benefits of exercise and thinking about the positive effects that I can feel already. Yesterday I wasn’t feeling well enough to have any breakfast (I had too much peanut butter granola the night before) but today I was able to get up a bit earlier and had a vega chocolate shake.
It was hard to get up yesterday morning for my workout since I was feeling a bit stressed out about work, however I am glad I forced myself out of bed as exercise is really the best way to deal with stress. I wasn’t able to get up early enough for the extra exercise I am hoping to add in this week, but at least I made it there.
The corn “maize” is the actual name of the place we went on Saturday. I had never been to a corn maze before and I have to say it was a fun way to spend a saturday and get some exercise at the same time. I think we might go to another one closer to Halloween so we can pick up a pumpkin as well.
Another Friday is upon us! I am pretty happy with my progress this week. I went to the gym Mon-Thurs and this morning I woke my son up early for a 20 min walk (was hoping for 30 mins but he was slow to get out of the house and I didn’t have enough time but it’s a start). Tomorrow we are going to a corn maze so that will be a good way to get some fun fitness in. Sunday depending on the weather we might do something active, but we will see. There are chores to be done around the house that will burn some calories and it is always a good feeling when all the chores are done.
So today was a milestone, it marks two weeks of consistent workouts before work. My gym is not open on Friday mornings so I have done a gym workout each possible morning before work. Today I almost didn’t go. Last night I wasn’t feeling super well, I am in a transition phase at work, training my replacement and starting to take on a new role so it is a bit stressful. Also I gave notice to my son’s paper route which I have mixed feelings about as it is a great source of exercise for him but the scheduling just isn’t working out so I had to do it. In any case, I kicked myself out of bed and made it to the gym and I am very proud that I did.
Wednesday’s workout was pretty good.I started reading “The Hunger Games” and so I took my eReader to the gym and the time just flew by! I also took the time to have a chocolate Vega smoothie before my workout so that made my energy level higher for the workout.
So I have been bad in not coming in to do my training logs, but excellent in that I am still completing my workouts. I decided to stop logging the foods that I eat because I find that to be somewhat of a trigger for me to overeat so I am going to continue to work on my nutrition and continue to work out Mon-Thurs mornings at the gym and fit in extra exercise as I can integrate it into my life.
Day five and week two back at it! Today it was very hard to get up for the gym. I ate a bit poorly last night (pizza and beer) and I was not feeling well most of the night because of it. I am also feeling some cramps so it was rough going all around. I didn’t want to deviate from my routine as I was worried that it would snowball so I bit the bullet and got there.
